Fetching today's puzzle from Lichess…
Enter a name, then solve the chess tactic by clicking or dragging pieces. Every visitor today sees the exact same puzzle.
Difficulty rises through the week — Easy on Monday, Expert on Sunday.
Beat the clock and avoid mistakes to top the global leaderboard. 🏆
Plain language — no legalese.
We collect nothing personally identifiable. The only data we store is your display name and puzzle score — both submitted voluntarily when you solve today's puzzle. There are no sign-ups, no emails, no passwords.
The name you choose is stored in two places: your own browser's localStorage (so you're recognised on return visits today), and our leaderboard database alongside your score and solve time. We don't link this name to any real identity.
Scores are stored in Supabase, a Postgres-based cloud database. Only three fields are saved per entry: display name, score, and time. Entries are cleared daily.
Puzzles are fetched from the Lichess public API. Your IP address may appear in their server logs as a result of this request — see Lichess's privacy policy. We have no control over that.
Because we don't hold personal data, there is nothing to delete, export, or correct. If you'd like your leaderboard name removed, contact us and we'll do it manually.
